Industrial Bhutan

Butane gas, (C4H10) is one of the hydrocarbon compounds that has four carbon atoms. This gas is made up of two normal isomers and isobutane. Butane gas is a refinery's product. In the process of propane liquefaction, the primary material for the catalyst process (DuPont) for the production of maleic anhydride is the butane application. This gas does not stimulate the eyes and skin, but the eye and skin contact with its liquid form will freeze the eyes. The breathing of this gas reduces the efficiency of the nervous system.

The name of the material (Farsi): Bhutan

The name of the substance (English): Butane

Brand (Farsi): Butane

Brand (English): Butane

Other names: butyl hydride, diethyl ether, methyl ethyl ethane

Related Materials: Propane, Malic Acid

Butane gas is lighter than water in water (density 0.58), and in gas condition heavier than air (approximately 2). Its evaporation point is about -0.5 degrees Celsius and the thermal value of Bhutan hydrocarbon is 28500 kcal per cubic meter. From the mixing of 50 to 90 percent of this gas with propane gas, it becomes liquid gas.

Indications:

Propane liquefaction, the primary raw material for the catalyst process (DuPont) to produce maleic anhydride.

Physical and chemical properties:

Molar mass 58.12 g mol-1

Appearance Colorless gas

Gas density 2.48 kg / m3 in 15 C, 1 atm

  Liquid density 600 kg / m3 at 0 C, 1 atm

Melting point -138.4 ° C

Boiling point 0.5 C

Solubility in water 6.1 mg / 100 ml in 20 ° C

Safety information:

This gas does not stimulate the eyes and skin, but the eye and skin contact with its liquid form will freeze the eyes. The breathing of this gas reduces the efficiency of the nervous system. This gas is highly flammable. Mixing this gas with air is explosive
