Ethylene dichloride is a colorless liquid with a chloroform-like odor. Ethylene dichloride is in the group of simple hydrocarbons (ethane family). Ethylene dichloride is primarily used to produce monomer vinyl chloride and is also used as the main mediator in PVC production. Ethylene dichloride is a toxic, corrosive, flammable, carcinogenic substance.
